According to the SBA, "Firms with fewer than 20 employees annually spend $7,647 per employee to comply with federal regulations, compared with the $5,282 spent by firms with more than 500 employees." That does not include state regulations.

Yet, small business supplies 70% of the new jobs in America, US Department of Labor. One would think that those who purportedly want to lower unemployment and improve the economy would let small business do what it does best and leave us alone.

You've taken the bait, Mark. You've recognized the threats resulting from legislation and regulation and your ready to do battle. Unfortunately, while you are busy with these issues, spending time away from your normal, productive pursuits, dozens of other attacks are being drafted, discussed, and implemented.

There is only one issue and one question you need to consider: "What does the Constitution say?" You'll almost always find it is silent, and since the Constitution enumerates only the specific powers granted to government, silence means exclusion; the answer is almost always that federal government has no legitimate authority to enact the proposed legislation.

The market is self-regulating so long as law is rational and objective and property rights are clear and enforced.

Chaos is the result not of lack of government regulation, but of unconstitutional acts that undermine rights and make the law subjective.

Each member of Congress takes an oath to uphold the Constitution. Join the revolution, hold them to it. Don't empower them by letting them fragment America with a multitude of divisive issues. Ask only, "What does the Constitution say?"
