Don’t get comfortable

Today’s guest post from the Washington Post is about a football player turned law enforcement officer from small town Louisiana.

If you don’t read anything else, catch 2 of his last comments on page 4: “I know the margin between being in the NFL and being out of the NFL is so small. You can’t get comfortable with yourself. You can’t be satisfied.

Would’ve been easy for him to give up. And while some (especially Dallas fans) would say that Washington doesn’t actually have a pro team, they’d be missing the message.

It is an example of continual improvement. You can always improve. Never stop looking for what can be done better. Too often companies act like the time to change is when we have a recession. Why wait until then?
